Summary

While it is not the traditional practice to use the Internet for shopping within Grenada, there are many potential benefits that can be derived if the Grenadian public would harness the power of the Web to perform some of their trade activities.

In the absence of electronic funds transfer via credit or debit cards solutions that encourages the general public to use the Web for shopping, reading about products, finding better than good deals on products and investigating sellers, should be encouraged.

Over the past decade that has been little growth and education toward this end of e-commerce or utilizing the Internet to gain value for the Grenadian public within the local market. However, with the advent of mobile broadband, facebook and a recession that pushes persons to scalp out the best of deals, a solution for an online Market place seems to be quite appropriate.

This proposal provides interested client willing to purchase shares in the Grenada Market Place online system to overview the strategy for long term sustainability of such a venture. Additionally, the investment made in this context provides both financial returns and enables locals to invest in skills for the future.

The document seeks to engage prospective shareholder to realize the value in long term invest in people, country and the future. Thus each share will be valued at a starting price of 3USD. The minimum lot that can be purchased is 3 shares and maximum is 7 shares. The total cost of this project is 12,000USD, thus 4000 shares are available to the public.

Each shareholder will need to have an active email address to sign up to join the programme. Annual reports will be generated and sent to the shareholder. Each shareholder is expected to also sell this idea to 100 persons via email to encourage marketing of the web site and system. A successful market campaign will be one where a first time user signs up to the system and enters the name of the shareholder who introduced his to this system. Another success is when users becomes a seller and post an item on the website for the public.
