Google maps are really lovely tools to help user find their interest of places in a visual way. I for one have used google earth, maps and now map engine for my work, school and local community base organisation in Grenada.
However, today, I am in need of more local Grenada data, stored in a local accessible Grenadian repository. Hence the need and development of the Grenada map. (www.daddywayne.com/map)
This map is purely based on the google map, and overlays the local data collected by a team of young Grenadians on places and things happening in Grenada.
While the database of locations is quite small, soon this map will have most of Grenada located using pure GPS coordinated.
Currently you can search using key words on this page and results are displayed using the google point (markers) and a list of related results.
Google Grenada is a nice tool and it will provide datasets for many future developers wanted to develop software for their country.
