Rob not your children! Rob not yourself !

For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken even that which he hath.

Have you consider the entirety of the above verse from the Bible, the words of Jesus?
Additionally, consider these as factors of life:

Money, Gold, Riches, Long life, Education, Wisdom, Health, Good careers, success in ones endeavors, Children, Salvation, good friends and neighbors, real estate...... I am certain that this list cannot be exhausted, but a few  has been given for deep consideration.

In this articles I look to highlight the importance of this the "Matthew Effect"  as coined by  Robert K. Merton [1].

However, my focus is on the importance of Parents providing the necessary environment to support your children in developing the love for reading. According to psychologist Keith Stanovich [2], early success in learning to read leads to later success in reading to learn. The environment for reading are usually mistaken to be the tools for reading. Parents usually think that the provision of a book or two is enough to foster the development of reading skills. There is more to reading that a book!  Parents need to realize that investment of time to demonstrate to kids the liking for the book and the appreciation of listening are critical for the development of this environment.

With this said, remember the more you have the more you most likely will get! If we take the little we have and use it with wisdom, we are more sure of success.  Invest in good work, work hard and pray. Your success depends on your do more of what is favorable to you, be it money, children, education, or friendship.

Robbing your kids of  time and attention.
