Don't let the followers go first. Theory of Replacement Mentality

In this article I reflect on an observed set of structures that has been quite my life's work. Back in 1998 joining the schools' department the observation was a lack of thought in the whole development of the little silos called the Harry Etal. School.
Not that there should be any planning in operation of the school on the day to day level, but in the long term management of the infrastructure. Once looking at the physical building, specifically the lab areas one could clearly see that there was no ongoing investment (Opex) given into this part of the building.
Today about 20 year after I only now understand that there was no sort of Opex involved in managing and maintaining a school lab. So I have been asking "Have this changed from then to now?"
Are there any sort of planned approach in doing so.
Well my observations clearly says NO.
There are some very interesting events that I see, there are and seem to be an interest in building and building over... not in building people to improve.
It is either we break it all down after 10 year and start over.
Or we build a new one in a new place.

If one will stretch our minds we can see that is the same mentality applied to the HR of this place. We either get rid or the old - no need to invest and make the current HR a more resounding personality fit and trained to support a system.
We only seem to see that there is a move to break or remove - throw aside and then get a new one.
It is called the Theory of Replacement.

Nothing stated here is reality it is only my observation. As digital scientists will say, when we digitize we are only taking a copy of the object, thus what we have is a close enough model to represent that object which we digitized. The model is sufficient to do several thing, but is it enough to represent the entire object.
Of course not! we take copy of the object make a model to suit our objectives. Thus we are just bias by our observations, never having a picture of the truth.
